India records 16,156 new Covid-19 cases, 733 more deaths
India’s daily tally of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) saw an increase on Thursday after 16,156 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, pushing the caseload to 34,231,809, according to the Union health ministry’s dashboard. Over 17,000 patients recovered while 733 succumbed to the viral disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries and deaths to 33,614,434 and 456,386 respectively. The active cases stand at 160,989.
