Breaking News: Colts Activate WR T.Y. Hilton for Sunday’s Game Against the Houston Texans – Stampede Blue

Indianapolis has made multiple roster moves ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Houston Texans, according to the team.

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, who’s missed the first five games of the season, has been activated and is expected to make his season debut against the Texans on Sunday, according to Zak Keefer, a writer for The Athletic.

Additionally, the Colts also announced the elevation of kicker Michael Badgley, whom the team signed to their practice squad just a few days ago, and placed kicker Rodrigo Blankenship on injured reserve. With Blankenship being placed on IR, Badgley will take his place for a minimum of three weeks.

Safety Jordan Lucas, who could see some snaps on Sunday depending on Khari Willis’ status, was also brought up to the active roster.

With Hilton’s return, the Colts’ offense, which has started to find its footing over the last couple of games, gets a major boost.

In his career, Hilton has notoriously torched the Texans, as he has 98 catches for 1,732 yards and 11 touchdowns in a total of 17 games against them. Indy’s offense has been missing that overall deep threat and hasn’t hit very many chunk plays through the first five weeks of the season.

Hilton’s presence alone draws double-coverage at times and, even at 31-years-old, the veteran can still find ways to come up clutch when the Colts need him most.
