VICTORIA, Texas – On Friday, Aug. 27, the body of a man found by Victoria Police Department has been identified. On Tuesday, Aug. 24, the VPD found a body near the Victoria Mall parking lot area shortly after 5 p.m.
The Texas Medical Examiners Office has positively identified the body as a 29-year-old Victoria resident, Michael Meitzler. The resident doesn’t have a permanent address. The office reported no signs of trauma contributing to Meitzler’s death. As of right now, the exact cause of death is unknown, pending test results.
